Dear Nursing Colleagues—

As we continue our negotiations with the Illinois Nurses Association (INA) representatives, we want to emphasize our commitment to providing top-of-the-market compensation and creating a safe work and care environment where all nurses feel valued, respected, and supported in their professional journey.

Over the last four years, our turnover rate of INA-represented nurses was half the national average (11% vs. 21%). The majority of UI Health nurses currently are paid better than 90% of nurses in the Chicagoland area. Under our current proposal, UI Health nurses will continue to receive top pay compared to Chicagoland peers.

We remain committed to providing a professional environment that reflects the essential role you play in delivering exceptional patient care.

UI Health remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting our nursing teams. Thank you for everything you do, and for your continued dedication to UI Health.

Sincerely,

Hospital & Clinics Leadership
