Update: Session 8

Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met in person on July 17, 2024. 

The parties started in caucus and upon return to the bargaining table, UIC had Chris Hart, Director of Hospital Safety and Workplace Violence Prevention, present on hospital's efforts to decrease workplace violence. The INA asked their follow-up questions and shortly after, the parties went into caucus. 

Upon returning form caucus, INA presented two new proposals on wages for weekend and floating differential. 

UIC responded to the INA's proposal to change the Workplace Violence Committee operational function. The INA asked questions and UIC responded to them to provide clarity. Then the parties went into caucus for the rest of the day.
