Update: Session 6
Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met virtually on July 15, 2024.
UIC responded with a counter for INA's proposal on schedules. The INA provided feedback and went on to present three new proposals related to Clinical Nurse Consultant, Side letter on sick time abuse, and Workday. The INA also countered UIC's Proposal related to HURCIIs (Health Care Utilization Review Coordinator II). UIC's lead negotiator asked questions to further understand their proposal, after which the parties went into caucus.
Upon return from caucus the INA had nurses from the Mother Baby unit presenting on safe assignments for float nurses. Other nurses that attended the hybrid presentation also spoke on their concerns and management took notes and asked clarifying questions to further understand their situations and concerns.
The INA bargaining team then presented two new proposals related to Float Team and Float/Pulling. UIC then presented their counter proposal regarding Work Week.
