Update: Session 41

Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met in person without the mediator.

The joint session began with the INA presenting their counters related to effective date of wages, wage scales, discipline procedure, grievances, charge differential, certification bonus, workweek, and vacation availability. The lead negotiator for UIC asked clarifying questions about INA's proposal related to staffing. Then, the parties returned to their caucus.

Back at the bargaining table, UIC presented their counters to staffing, workweek, non-nursing duties, artificial intelligence, and safe patient limits.

The parties coordinated dates for the next bargaining sessions and returned to their caucus.
