Update: Session 38
Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met in person without the mediator.
The joint session began with UIC's lead negotiator presenting their counters related to health and safety, on-call wages, on-call assignments, sick abuse side letter, shift differential, weekend differential, charge differential, preceptor differential, incentive bonus, bilingual differential, birth/adoption leave, schedule, workday, scrubs, budgeted positions, and discipline procedure.
Then, INA presented their counters related to float differential, staffing, vacation availability, float team, floating/pulling, artificial intelligence, and safe patient limits. They also withdrew their new proposal related to the acuity tool, but merged language with their staffing proposal.
The parties coordinated for the next bargaining session and returned to their caucus.
