Update: Session 36

Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met in person without the mediator.

The joint session began with the INA presenting their counters related to shift differential, weekend differential, effective date of wages, wage scale, on-call, certification bonus. They reasserted counters related to status bonus, bilingual differential, Paid Leave for All Workers Act, workday, parental leave, artificial intelligence, float team, unit based float/pulling, non-nursing duties, incentive bonus, performance appraisals, schedule, and scrub uniforms. A tentative agreement was reached related to negotiations and exclusive recognition. The INA then withdrew their counter to retention bonus.

UIC's lead negotiator presented their counters related to ambulatory assignments, nursing care committee, charge differential, on-call assignments, health and safety, and pandemic disaster side letter.

The parties coordinated for the next bargaining session and returned to their caucus.
