Update: Session 34

Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met in person with the mediator present.

The joint session began with a presentation from Nicholas Haubach, chief administrative officer.  He spoke to UI Health's compensation strategy and provided a compensation analysis that included the relevant organizations as requested by the INA after the previous presentation of UI Health's market analysis. After the discussion the parties returned to their caucus.

Back in joint session, UIC's lead negotiator withdrew their proposals to Safe Staffing FTE Commitment, Ambulatory Nursing Orientation, Fitness for Duty Evaluation, Charge Nurse Assignments in OCC and Ambulatory Clinics, Joint Task Force. Then, she presented their counters related to effective date of wages, wage scale, on call, shift differential, weekend differential, bilingual differential, schedule, certification bonus, status bonus. The INA then presented their counters related to holidays, on-call assignments, preceptor differential, charge differential, pandemic disaster, sick benefit time abuse and workweek. The parties coordinated for the next bargaining session and returned to their caucus.
