Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met virtually with the mediator present.
The joint session began with the INA presenting their counters to incentive bonus, on call, on call assignments, staff development, float team, and floating/pulling RNs to other units. Then they resubmitted unchanged proposals to special leave and artificial technology. UIC's lead negotiator asked clarifying questions then presented their counters to preceptor differential, schedule, and sick benefit abuse. The parties returned to their caucus.
Back in joint session, UIC's lead negotiator presented their counters to workday, special leave, on call, on call assignments, artificial intelligence, acuity tool, incentive bonus, staff development, float team, and floating/pulling RNs to other units. The parties coordinated for the next bargaining session and returned to their caucus.
