Update: Session 27

Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met in person with the mediator present.

The joint session began with guest nurses speaking about being on call and the impact it has on them. UIC’s lead negotiator thanked them for joining the session and speaking to their cause. Then, UIC presented their counter to wages, shift differential, preceptor differential, sick leave, scrubs, notification to union, effective date of wages, and sick time abuse. The parties returned to their caucus.

Back in joint session, the INA presented their counters to on call, call back, effective date of wages. Then, UIC presented their counter to the wage scale.  The parties coordinated for the next bargaining session and returned to their caucus.
