Update: Session 24

UI Health and the INA met for a full day of bargaining; FMCS mediator Richard Murphy was present and UI Health senior leadership joined the hospital bargaining team. UI Health made its fifth comprehensive economic proposal, that included annual across-the-board annual increases in addition to annual step increases as well as annual incentive bonuses and prepared and presented to the Association a detailed update to its proposal related to preparation for and response to future pandemics. Later in the day, UI Health again modified its proposal to address further demands raised by the INA in a counterproposal. UI Health also presented a thorough and complex staffing proposal that commits UI Health to detailed action steps with financial and organizational accountability to ensure safe staffing levels. The INA continued to be unwilling to sign any tentative agreements or commit to any of the dozens of contract improvements offered by UI Health. UI Health continues to offer to meet to come to a mutually beneficial agreement.
