Update: Session 22

Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met in person with the mediator present.

When the joint session began, the INA presented their counters related to overtime differential, callback differential, incentive bonus, status bonus premium, the protected leave act waiver, and performance appraisals.  UIC's lead negotiator presented their counter to INA's proposals related to class represented, new classes and recognition, equal opportunity, union activity, information, and bargaining unit negotiations team. The INA's lead negotiator reported that they had a hard stop at 3 p.m. However, UIC's lead negotiator stated that the remaining proposals wouldn't take long to present. UIC's lead negotiator confirmed with the INA's lead negotiator if we would be returning for the day and continued to say that they could check in via text. The parties discussed future dates for negotiations and concluded for the day.
