Update: Session 2

Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met virtually on June 25, 2024, for a full-day session. The meeting began with both parties in caucus; the parties met at approximately​ 3:00 p.m. at which time UIC addressed the status of the proposals introduced by the INA at the first session. UIC continued by presenting its counterproposal related scheduling meeting rooms and introduced a proposal related to Health Utilization Review Coordinator IIs. The INA then introduced six proposals related to Low Census, Sick Time, Remote Work, Discipline, Holidays and AI for the University to consider. Upon the receipt of the proposals the University asked their clarifying questions, after which the parties moved to caucus at approximately 3:48 p.m. The parties returned at approximately 5:03 p.m. Upon return to the session, the INA introduced one more proposal related to Safe ​Staffing Limits. There was a brief discussion determining the start time for the next session; the session concluded at approximately 5:20.pm. ​​
