Update: Session 18

Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met in person with the mediator present.

The joint session began with INA presenting their counters related to the bargaining unit negotiations team, grievances, Clinical Nurse Consultant, flexible schedule program, holidays, shift differential, effective date of wages, and wage scales. UIC presented their counters to incentive bonus, vacation availability, bilingual certification bonus, status bonus, non-nursing duties, and scrubs. The parties then returned to their caucus.

Upon return to the bargaining table, UIC’s lead negotiator countered INA’s wages proposals related to the wage scales. Then reasserted their latest proposal related to the bargaining unit negotiations team, grievances, holidays, acuity tool system, and special leave. The INA bargaining team asked their questions to UIC’s lead negotiator.
