Update: Session 16

August 20, 2020

UI Health and the INA met for a full day of bargaining, at which FMCS mediator, Kevin Farrell, was present. The session began with both parties in caucus, after which nurses and management from Peds/PICU joined the session to discuss concerns related to the unit. UI Health presented compromise proposals Article VI (Work Rules and Conditions), and the INA presented a counter proposal for Article VIII (Discipline). At the close of negotiations the parties discussed a mutual agreement for the extension of the contract, which expires August 24, 2020.

• On August 21, 2020 the parties mutually agreed to extend the contract for two (2) weeks with a new expiration date of September 7, 2020
