Update: Session 13

Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met virtually on August 6, 2024.

Back in the joint session with the mediator, UIC presented their counter to INA’s bargaining unit negotiation team, special leave, holidays, and health and safety. The INA asked clarifying  questions; UIC’s lead negotiator responded to questions.

The INA re-proposed three of their previous proposals without language changes. These proposals were related to workday, workweek, and performance appraisals. Then, they countered on four of UIC’s counters related to association activity, vacation availability, low census day, and staff development. Then, the parties discussed meeting times for the next session.
