Update: Session 11

Negotiations resumed on a successor contract for the INA RN collective bargaining agreement. The parties met virtually with the mediator on July 30, 2024.

UIC responded with a counter for INA's proposal related to pulling and floating. Based on the back-and-forth discussion between the INA and UIC's lead negotiators, the mediator provided their feedback on what the parties could do to improve proposal language to clarify operational goals. The parties went into caucus, then, each party met with the mediator.

Upon return from caucus the INA presented proposals related to ambulatory services assignments and bilingual pay differential. UIC responded to INA's proposal related to Clinical Nurse Consultant II (CNCII), agreeing to language related to working hours and then presented their counter to the other sections of their CNCII proposal. The parties returned to caucus.

Back in joint session, the INA proposed new proposals related to educational and professional opportunities, and a status bonus premium. The parties took a lunch break and upon return, the INA presented their last economic proposal related to retention bonuses.
